This Blog is to document the purchase, build-out, and fun adventures experienced in our Sprinter Van. We will soon have the Oregon vanity plates "MOSEE-N" as in "More See 'n" or "Mosey 'n".
We started looking for a Sprinter Van in fall 2014 after we took a trip with a truck and trailer and decided we would rather have a small "class B" than a trailer.
We found ours on Craigslist at DOABA motors in San Jose. Budwal at Doaba was nice and said they sell about 22 Sprinters per month. They buy them from fleets, fix them up, and sell them. We had Lemon Squad go check it out. We felt good enough about it that we flew to San Jose and drove it back.
About a half hour out of San Jose we noticed some vibration when we got over 60 MPH and found out later we had a separated tire. We ended up going to Roseburg Les Schwab and they told us the news. Not surprising seeing the inside rear tires were more worn than the outsides. They ordered two new tires for us and we had them installed in Newberg at Les Schwab.
